2005 was a breath of fresh air compared to 2004. After a first time flight for a first time trip to a big city, I was once again enjoying the things of everyday life, including school. I was suddenly seeing the bigger picture of things, which directly led to me finding myself more determined and dedicated in my school work and various projects.

Long time no see.

I've been so busy lately that it's not even funny. Ever since I got out of school in May, I've been here in Atlanta. Inbetween playing FFXI, sleeping, and hanging out with in-laws, I haven't had much time to get online. You can ask anyone, I haven't been on msn hardly at all. So, I guess this could be my apology to all my friends. Sorry I haven't been online, and I'm sorry I haven't been keeping touch. I've been having a lot of fun here in Atlanta, and already 2 months have passed. Now, I only have 1 month left, and I'm not ready for it to be over. I'm not really home sick at all, even though I miss being able to know my way around. Here it's just crazy; so many freeways, exits, and people. This has been a different, but fun summer, and I wish it could last; I'm not ready to go back to school, with all of that studying and test taking.

Well, I talked to my parents the other day, and it seems I'm finally gonna have my cell phone again soon, except with prepaid minutes lol (you'd have to know the story behind that lol). My dad is also wanting to get me a newer, more reliable vehicle. He asked me what I might want, but I told him I just want an explorer, like the one I have. Mine is great, except for the broken AC :( It's also a 91, and it's had some trouble before with the engine. I told my dad, though, that if he does get a different vehicle, I want at least something with a CD player and working AC (my explorer now didnt come with a CD player, nor working AC T_T).

I guess that's all for now, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to update again. Probably not till school starts up again. So, for now, everyone take care, and I'll try and catch up with everyone when I see 'em. cyas~

P.S. Also, I'm not gonna be able to update anymore to the language pages, at least for awhile. All my files and things are on my computer back home. Sorry about starting up something and leaving it unfinished.

Hey hey, I'm making an unexpected visit tonight.

Well, for once, on a weekend, I don't have any homework; after two weeks of hard work, I'm finally caught up with my classes.  I've done a Spanish essay, taken an essay test for my Spanish class, a PowerPoint presentation for my computer class (with a typed works cited page), I've done another PPT presentation to go along with a speech I just gave today, well yesterday if you count 2am being the next day, (not to mention a 5 page typed outline for the speech), a WebTrek Project for my Cultural Anthropology class of finding and summarizing 10 websites about Cultural Anthropology, taking a test in that class (Cult. Anth.), and then doing a week's worth of Chinese homework in one night. Someone stick a fork in me, because I'm done. I haven't been sleeping at night hardly at all, and only sleep during the day for a few hours after I finish my classes, but now, hopefully, that'll stop.

For an update...I'm now a 2nd year junior and an International Studies-Spanish Double Major, instead of a double minor.  I just need 2 more Spanish classes to have the equivalent of a Spanish major, and 3 classes away from finishing my International Studies Major. After that, just have to take a handful of Gen. Ed. classes. ^^

Since I finished all my main "projects" today (Thursday), or again yesterday (if you wanna be precise), I took a good long nap this afternoon, going into the evening. I was finally woken up by some strange sounds coming from outside. I got up and noticed that my cousin was back from classes and asked her what the sound was. She said she didn't know, but the same sound had been driving her crazy for awhile. I got up, brushed my hair (which is getting so long now!), went to the bathroom, came out, and looked at my cuz. I stood there and finally said, "I'm starving, wanna get something at Doc's?" She said alright, since she was starting to get hungry anyway, so I got my shoes and we left. When we got outside, we could hear the same noise getting clearer; it started to sound like music.

We finally remembered that our campus was holding a "Battle of the Bands" for that day. We continued on our way and got some food, but after we finished, we headed over to the "Battle of the Bands" area. As soon as we came around the corner of the hall, we were blasted with bass, guitars, drums, and a drowned voice trying to be heard. My cuz and I didn't know the band, but we hung around anyway and worked our way to the front. After a little bit, my friend's band got on the stage, You Before Me. I was excited and dragged Beth up to the stage with me. They were the last band to play that night and I was so glad I got to catch them. I've been wanting to see them perform for some time, but they were always traveling off to a city pretty far from here. They sang 2 songs I hadn't heard before (newer songs) and then "Whisper," which happens to be my favorite. Kory (the lead singer) looked down and saw me singing with him and got a huge smile on his face. Russ (the bass player and a good friend) was surprised to see me but was really glad I came.

After they finished, Beth and I finally made our way outside the building and started to head back to the dorm, but we saw the guys standing by one of their trucks just outside. So, I ran over to Russ and talked to him for awhile and told him I was glad I finally was able to see his band play. He then started to tell me about how his brother (Rob, the lead guitarist) was mad at him because he knocked over his cab and broke it >_< Then, Sid (keyboard player) hopped over with us to see what was up and to say hi. After talking for a bit with them, I got one of their T-shirts (it's green! ^^!!). When we were about to leave, Kory ran over to us and so I talked to him for a bit. I felt I was talking too much, especially because my cuz wasn't really saying anything lol :( They started joking with me about college "diets" and "meals" (all hail Ramen noodles!) and then told me about some other shows they were doing. Finally, Beth and I came back to the room. I think it was a nice end to a stressful week because I finally got to see Russ play, especially since he kept talking about his band in class and about how me and some other people should come to see him play.

After talking to Lando for a bit on the phone and finding out I had woken him up, I said night to him and let him go back to sleep. So here I was, with some free time to kill (scary o.o!). I'm still trying to decide if I should drive home tomorrow or not and spend money on such expensive gas. It's $2.30 something per gallon in Harrison :S Well, I think I'm just going to sleep and decide if I'll go in the morning. So, until lata~, cyas~. A.R.

Well, after my prolonged Spring Break that included missing 2 separate flights, I'm finally back at school. It's been a week since I've been back, but I'm still making up everything I missed. I had a lot of fun in Atlanta and didn't want to leave, again. It's ok though, because I get to go back in 4 weeks and stay there for the whole summer. All I basically have to do right now is get myself caught up (hopefully done by this week) and prepare for finals. Oh yeah, hehe...Rolando's birthday is May 10; he'll be 22 this year (almost 2 1/2 years older than me o.o). :D I'm still trying to think of something to get him.

I was finally able to work on my little project for this site, and all I can say is that it's going to take me a while to get it done. I kept having problems with the formatting, but I think it might work now. And also, when I started to type down everything I knew in these languages, I found out that I knew more than I thought I did. There is so much I want to type out, but I just don't have the time for it. I should get it done sometime soon, though (as long as I can find the time). Well, I'm done for now, so I'm out...cyas~  A.R.

Spring Break is almost here! But...midterms come with it. >_< Today is a good, and bad, example. I missed my Speech class Tuesday because I slept late, but went to class today. When I got there, however, I discovered that we were taking our midterm today. SOOO...without any studying at all, I took that awful test.  I did ok, but I still just hope it doesn't count for too much of our grade. I have one week left of classes here at school and that's 8 classes to attend. After that, pure fun in Atlanta, again. Instead of the usual one week for spring break, however, I'll be gone for 2 weeks.  It was gonna cost about $500 to go for the one week I get for spring break, but I checked the prices for staying another week there, and it would only cost bout $300.  So, sorry to my teachers, but if it is gonna save $200, I'm gonna miss a few days of classes. I wish I could stay there from now on (you wouldn't have to ask me twice to do it) but I can't because of school. Atlanta is my home, and I hate everyday that I'm not there. But after I come back here to school, I'll only have 4 weeks left of classes and then finals. So, by the first week of May, I'll be back in Atlanta for Rolando's B-Day(the 10th). :P I'll stay there for the whole summer, and, if everything goes ok with the transfer and I can get some scholarships, I'll be staying there for good this time.  I'm finishing my 2nd year here at school, but I'm already a junior. If things go ok still, I'll be able to graduate a whole year early (at least that's what I'm hoping and praying for).

On a side note, I've been working on my spanish speaking and I'm getting much better now, thanks to some help. I hope I can continue to improve so that my speaking level will be caught up to my reading and writing levels.  I just need a good dose of new vocab lol. It's cool, though, that all throughout this year I've had people come to me and ask me where I learned my spanish and where I picked up my accent (a lot of people think I'm latina o.O). On another side note, my chinese class is going great. It's fun and surprisingly easy once you learn the pronunciation.  My teacher talked to me after class was over Monday and told me that I'm doing really well. She also told me that I am one of her best students; she was happy and surprised that I picked up on it so quick.

Well, it's almost 1:30am, and even though the week is done for me, class wise, I think I'm still gonna try to go to sleep soon.  I'm a bit tired and want to catch up some more on the sleep I've been missing out on this week. So, till later...cyas~  A.R.

btw, gonna try to add some new pages...i figured this site nided a few new things...itll take me some time, but i hope it turns out like i want ^^ just be patient wit me

2-12-05

Well, Happy Late New Year!  I tried coming on after the New Year and  saying a little something, but everything I wrote was erased when I tried to save. v_v  So, I didn't feel like typing it all over again and just didn't have anything for January.  For an update, however, I had a lot of fun in Atlanta with Rolando (of course).  For the first time, I rode in a taxi, rode a train/subway, and sat in a court room...all in the same day! >_< I did so much stuff that i hadn't done before and saw a lot of coo~ things.  It's like waking up from dreaming your whole life and finally seeing reality.  I felt as if i was in another country and looked as if I was "a kid in a candy store" (according to Lando lol).

After many tears, I came back to Arkansas.  Only good part was that it was a clear night and I could see the huge buildings of Atlanta so well and a glow from all the other cities within range.  I got back home early Monday morning and had just enough time to get some sleep and pack before I had to drive back to campus on Tuesday.  Well, so far my classes have been good.  I'm taking Chinese, Spanish Conversation and Composition II, Public Speaking, COMS 2003, and Cultural Anthropology.  Even though they are pretty easy, I'm really looking foward to Spring Break already.  As of yesterday, it's 5 weeks away and counting.  When I come back after that, I'll only have one month left of school and then it's right back to Atlanta I go...hopefully for good this time.  Well, I guess I'm gonna get on FFXI for a bit, so till next time...cyas~   A.R.
